True protection is both a legal framework and a deeply human act.
Zainab Oluwabukola Atta
Over two decades advancing justice, protecting the vulnerable, and building the next generation of humanitarian leaders across Nigeria.
I'm a humanitarian lawyer and protection professional based in Kaduna, Nigeria. My work sits at the intersection of law, human dignity, and practical field operations — designing and leading programs that give displaced and conflict-affected communities access to justice and essential protection services. From my early days at Legal Awareness for Nigerian Women, through UNICEF, to my current role as Protection Coordinator at the International Rescue Committee, every step has been driven by one conviction: protection is not a bureaucratic function — it is a deeply human act.
True protection is both a legal framework and a deeply human act.
